The TEKKEN 8 ranking system spans 30 ranks from Beginner to Tekken God. Unlike TEKKEN 7, you cannot derank from a tier once you reach it, which makes the climb less punishing. This guide explains every rank, how promotion works, and the fastest way to climb.

Promotion mechanics
You earn points for wins and lose points for losses. The amount depends on the opponent's rank — beating someone higher ranked gives more points. Winning streaks (3+ wins in a row) give bonus points. When you reach 100% of your current rank's point threshold, you enter a promotion match. Win it to rank up.
Climbing tips
Stick to one character until Tekken King. Switching characters resets your matchup knowledge and you will lose to things you should know. Watch your replays — TEKKEN 8 has a built-in replay system that shows frame data and punish suggestions. Use it after every loss.
